Healing Wisdom for Everyday Life
Case Study: 64-Year Old Female & Quantum Functional Medicine
Today I am sharing with you an amazing healing journey from my client Clare. She initially came to me admitting to maintaining a very busy lifestyle, rarely even allowing herself time to sit for a meal. She had many issues as many of my clients do, such as digestive issues, fatigue, scattered thinking, left knee pain, and occasional right foot pain on the lateral aspect of the dorsum (site of bone spur surgery many years ago).
Body Mind Spirit Integration
Our mind is a powerful gift. Through our mind, we create beliefs, interpret emotions, and interpret our life/bodily experience.
Our mind includes both the rational and intuitive. Our intuitive mind is also often known as our Heart, Spirit, or Gut feeling.
Fall - Turn In to Let Go
Deep within the Earth, an awakening has begun! Can you feel it?!
During Winter, the energy of Mother Nature draws inward. Winter is a time of rest, conservation, and preparation for the big show, SPRING!
It’s All in There Fennel Soup
It’s All in There Fennel Soup: supports the Liver, Lung, and Kidney:
The oil you use within a recipe is another way of supporting your seasonal or organ energy. I suggest using Add enough grape seed, walnut, or sunflower oil. See what intuitively calls out to you. It may be a clue of the organ function needing support or you can connect to the energy of the season. Sunflower is used in the autumn. Walnut supports the Kidney. Trust your intuition.
This particular soup will support your Liver, Lung and Kidney function.
Heart/Small Intestine
The Heart/Small Intestine is the house of Spirit. Our Heart/Small Intestine wants our true Spirit to pulse through every aspect of our life!
In relationship to the other four organ systems, Heart/Small Intestine is like a Spiritual leader. This wise system is connected with the highest level of faith that no matter what we are experiencing body, mind, Spirit, it is happening for good. It is happening to unfold Spirit’s purpose.
As a Spiritual leader, the Heart/Small Intestine should not be troubled with day-to-day body and mental processing. This is the purpose of Liver/Gallbladder, Stomach/Spleen, Lung/Large Intestine, and Kidney/Bladder.

Lung/large intestine
The Lung/Large Intestine are organs of the highest level of refinement. They align a beginning (nose/mouth) breath and an end, the final release.
This system must sort what we keep and what we let go of, at every level.
The Lung/Large Intestine absolutely require a clear structure. We must breathe to live. We must must let go to be able to continue to receive.
Though the structure is clear, it must NOT be rigid. The breath shifts moment to moment depending on many physical AND emotional factors. Our daily release of stool also shifts day to day depending on many physical AND emotional factors.

Liver/Gallbladder
The Liver/Gallbladder are our organs of ultimate creative expression. They help us process stress, frustration, and anger. These are also the organs we tap into to help adapt to any life change.
Move that body, move the voice, and tap into your ability to create music, art, and write, no limits! In Nature, this is the energy of Wood/Spring: all things that grow! This is the power of Wind, Lightning, and Thunder! Nothing can stop this power to be seen, heard, or breakthrough!

Stomach/Spleen
We depend upon our Stomach/Spleen to help us digest EVERYTHING: food, emotions, information, and even viruses and bacteria.
Every stage of digestion has a body, mind, and Spirit level.
Earth is the element that reflects the frequency and power of Stomach/Spleen.
Earth has the ability to receive, process, and transform EVERYTHING. She holds the space for all of life itself.
This is our Stomach/Spleen.

Fear/Doubt/Scarcity ~ Wisdom/Power/Life Force
Fear is guiding us to recognize the wisdom within. If we quiet ourselves, slow down, and tune in we can discover this truth. In Nature, this is the energy of Water/Winter: the time for rest, deep reflection, and conservation. “Water is the softest thing. Yet it can penetrate mountains and Earth. This shows clearly the principle of softness overcoming hardness” Lao Tzu
